Ingredients
- 200 grams sugar, caster
- 225 grams sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 250 grams flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 138 grams apple, green peel and chop
- 108 grams pecans chopped
- 55 grams butter, unsalted
- 50 grams sugar, caster
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350*F/175*C/GM 4. |
2. Beat sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla until combined then continue beating for 2 minutes. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to sour cream mixture. Stir in apple and 1/2 of pecans. Turn into a greased 9x5x3" loaf pan. sprinkle with remaining pecans. Press lightly into batter. |
3. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. |
4. Meanwhikle, in a small saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 1 minute. Drizzle top with brown sugar mixture. Cool. |
