Ingredients
- 110 grams dried red chiles 10 chiles
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 3 cups boiling water
Directions
1. Remove stems and seeds from chiles. Soak in boiling water. |
2. Sauté onion in oil until soft. Add garlic. |
3. Place chiles, onion, garlic and cumin in blender. Add 1 cup soaking liquid. Pureé until smooth. Stir in remaining soaking liquid. Pour into pan and simmer for 1 hour. Sauce should be smooth and thick. |
