Ingredients

  • 4 cups sourdough starter
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tablespoons sugar syrup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Directions

Stir together first four ingredients. Jst before cooking add baking soda and stir until the batter is almost double in bulk. Pour cakes on a hot, lightly oiled griddle, about 1/3 cup per cake, and fry on both sides till golden.
